All of our animals live outdoors on pasture. Our beef cattle have never been in a barn or feedlot and have never eaten anything but grass from our ranch.
Chickens and turkeys are moved to pasture as soon as they are fully feathered (typically around 2–3 weeks of age) and are moved to fresh pasture multiple times each day.
Our beef cattle live on pasture year-round and are never grain-finished. They are born, raised, and harvested from the same ranch without ever entering a feedlot.
We do not apply herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers to our pastures. We focus on healthy soil and natural pasture management.
We custom-hatch our own chickens and turkeys to avoid the routine vaccines often required by large commercial hatcheries.
For maximum nutrition, we harvest animals during the season when they are actively living on green pasture. The rest of the year we supply that meat frozen.
All of our animals grow more slowly than those raised in industrial systems. This allows them to live fuller, healthier lives while developing better flavor and quality in the meat.
Whenever possible, our cattle are harvested on the ranch. This avoids transport stress and handling, allowing the animal to remain calm in its familiar environment. The result is a more respectful end to the animal’s life and higher quality meat.
